Varsity Cheer Team Visits Lindbergh Class for 'National Women in Sports Day'

February 4th was "National Girls and Women in Sports Day,” a day that recognizes and celebrates women's athletic achievements. At Lindbergh Elementary, students in Katelyn Hemingway's class spent some time learning about various women who've achieved incredible feats in their respective sports. The class then welcomed Kenmore East High School varsity cheerleaders, who are coached by Ms. Hemingway, and collaborated on a research project highlighting female athletes who have made an impact in the sports world. Some of the athletes the students researched included soccer player Alex Morgan, decorated gymnast Simone Biles, and paralympic swimmer Jessica Long.
