Important Information Regarding UPK Enrollment:
UPK is a NYS grant-funded program with only a limited number of seats. If more children apply than there are available half-day/full-day seats, the district will select students at random through a lottery process. Ken-Ton will continue to accept applications until March 20, 2026. If one is necessary, we will conduct a virtual lottery on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. You must be a resident of the district by the March 20 deadline and your child must be up-to-date with NYS vaccination requirements and have an updated physical in order to be included in the lottery.
Although a lottery has not been necessary in recent years, we strongly encourage families to apply prior to the March 20th deadline to guarantee your child a place in the lottery in case one is needed.
If a lottery is not necessary, the district will continue to accept applications and enrollment will be on a first-come/first-served basis as long as there are available seats.
